Prospectus is supporting a well-known health charity with their search for a Senior Policy and Campaigns Officer.

The overall purpose of this role is to develop, deliver and evaluate key campaigns work to ultimately identify and take advantage of opportunities to influence legislation or service delivery practise. Establishing effective relationships with civil servants, policy makers and campaigning bodies is vital for success. As a Senior Policy and Campaigns Officer, you will deliver policy recommendations, lobby decision makers and respond on behalf of the organisation to government inquiries. You will also ensure project budgets are monitored effectively, lead the delivery and evaluation of national campaigns and help identify opportunities for fundraising to support the Policy and Campaigns team.

To be successful in this role, you will have proven experience of developing, delivering and evaluating strategies that achieve change, and be comfortable negotiating with organisations or individuals with differing perspectives and agendas. You will be able to develop and maintain effective working relationship, including a good knowledge of local and national government structures and experience of influencing them. Ability to design, carry out and analyse research in order to understand complex information is also important. Ultimately, your job is to plan, implement, oversee and evaluate multiple projects to deadlines and targets.
