Do you want to join our creative and passionate communications team in Bristol? Together for Short Lives, the UK charity for seriously ill children, is seeking a dynamic and accomplished Communications Officer, with a proven track record in PR, digital communications and publishing. The successful candidate will play a key role in our ambition to make sure that seriously ill children and their families can make the most of every moment they have together, whether that’s for years, months or only hours.

You will need to demonstrate your success in securing media coverage and delivering marketing strategies and campaigns. Naturally, you’ll understand what makes a story really stand out with excellent written and verbal communications skills and the ability to produce compelling content. The role will be responsible for publishing information and resources for families, so you’ll need top-notch editorial skills and a sensitive approach. You will be part of a team leading our digital communications, including web, e-communications and social media, so you will need solid experience of digital communications. You will have a natural talent for writing optimised content and a real drive to grow our digital community.

Good interpersonal skills will be essential in this collaborative role, so you can build strong relationships with colleagues. The ideal candidate will have a proactive approach, seeking out new opportunities, channels and creative ideas for promoting our brand.
