Bristol Animal Rescue Centre is the oldest animal rescue in the city, rehoming nearly 500 animals a year.  We are looking for someone with excellent accounting experience to join us as our Finance Manager and be part of the team that helps, heals and find homes for animals in need!

This is a full time, permanent position working closely with the CEO and management colleagues to build skills and generate financial analysis that enhance our ability to drive delivery of Strategy objectives and longer term financial planning, including development of a significant capital project to provide new premises. You will therefore play a key role in helping us assess and manage our future funding needs that affect processes and working practices. 

The role brings full membership of the SMT to support the CEO in delivering our agreed strategy, financial plans, risk management and compliance requirements as well as presenting financial information to colleagues and Trustees.  Your ‘people’ skills and ability to communicate effectively with non-financial people will be crucial to the success of this role.

You will ideally be a fully qualified accountant with a minimum of 3 years’ practical experience in similar role or CIMA / ACCA / ACA part qualified with at least 5 years’ similar experience. An understanding of the voluntary sector and SORP, with line management experience would be required for this post.

Salary:  £43,000pa – 46,000pa
