Community Learning Tutor

Up to £26,260 per annum

Fixed Term 24-month contract 

39 hours per week

Our client is the largest social landlord in Wyre Forest.  Their community arm’s purpose is to help improve the lives of those living in need in Worcestershire.  

They are looking for a motivated, enthusiastic and experienced tutor/assessor to join them.  The work involves delivering accredited and non-accredited training to small groups and 1-2-1 support. The team has a successful track record in supporting adult learners who are: 

• Long term unemployed and economically inactive 
• Employees 
• Tenant and Community Representatives

There will be a focus on supporting learners to develop their skills around employability, digital inclusion, managing a tenancy and personal wellbeing. You will help learners grow in confidence and become motivated to use their skills to improve their lives and potentially gain sustained employment.  You will be able to deliver a quality learning experience that adapts to meet the needs of learners and help our client develop their services, including enhancing the range of courses offered.

You will hold a relevant teaching qualification and it would be desirable if you hold an Information, Advice & Guidance Qualification.

Due to the nature of this work, an enhanced DBS disclosure will be required for successful applicants.
