Living Planet Centre Woking, Surrey GU21 4LL / London

Fighting for our world is not for the faint hearted and this pivotal role at WWF is no exception. Our Partnerships team requires a visionary and strategic Head of Partnerships (Managed) to manage change and innovatively drive growth across our partnerships, in a complex and fluid landscape.

With the scale of challenges facing our planet, we know we cannot succeed alone. Our success depends on effective partnerships with the game-changers, bold thinkers, innovators and disruptors who will join us in tackling the pressing threats facing our world. This is where your passion and talents come in.

Playing an active role in our senior leadership team, you will lead a team to successfully deliver and grow the impact of our existing corporate partnerships. This will involve directing and coaching the team to surpass income, advocacy, public engagement and impact goals.

Leading by example, you will maintain a strategic overview of our existing partnerships, ensuring maximum value is always delivered. You will design development plans with stretching targets to increase income, depth of partnership and impact, whilst ensuring all are robustly managed and governed. You will also identify opportunities to grow the value of our partnerships longer term. You will collaborate with colleagues to negotiate contracts, deliver partnership renewals and embed new ones too. Important will be the ability to set a clear team vision for success and develop the capabilities of your team to maximise their potential.

Requirements

For this role, you must have significant experience of managing and growing partnerships. Of graduate calibre, you will be consummate relationship manager with a proven track record of leading partnerships or business engagement in a large complex organisation. You will also be proficient in developing impactful partnership strategies and plans.

A motivational team leader, you will excel at building and coaching high performing teams. You will also be effective at influencing stakeholders as well as possessing excellent analytical, communication and interpersonal skills. Used to managing budgets, you will be comfortable meeting deadlines and juggling multiple priorities.

Experience of working in an international corporate or international charity as well as knowledge of sustainability and development issues is desirable.

Our world needs you like never before. We are the first generation to know we are destroying the world and we could be the last that can do anything about it. We’re looking for people who are passionate about making it politically, socially and economically unacceptable to destroy our planet’s natural resources. We need you to join us in the fight for our world.

At WWF-UK we are committed to creating an inclusive working environment, where diversity is valued and there is equality of opportunity. We therefore welcome applications from all sections of the community and we offer a range of benefits to encourage a work life balance.

Company

Best known as the world’s leading conservation body, we’ve seen first-hand how wildlife, the environment and human activity are all interlinked.

That’s why our passion for safeguarding the natural world has to be backed up by other environmental action – tackling the global threat of climate change (through our big global campaigns like Earth Hour) and helping people to change the way they live to ease pressure on natural resources.

WWF is at the heart of global activities in all these areas. We have teams of highly skilled professionals working with governments, businesses and communities here in the UK and around the world.
