Prospectus is supporting a well-known mental health charity to find a Senior Procurement Officer. The role's purpose is to support their efficiencies in procurement of goods and services and managing relationships nationally.

As the Senior Procurement Officer, your role will be to manage the day to day procurement processes for the business. You will be tasked with undertaking a review of current suppliers, developing and implementing a clearer purchasing strategy and ensuring buy in from stakeholders. The key to success in this role is the ability to establish great working relationships both internally and across the wider membership networks. You will enhance and standardise existing procurement practice and create better reporting metrics that will be able to track the development of long term savings on costs.

The successful candidate will have a track record of working across networks and be comfortable in communicating key messages to target audiences. They will have the ability to successfully implement customer relationship approaches that improve on customer journeys and improve on clarity and simplicity. As a strong project manager with a track record of delivering excellence across agreed objectives, targets and to budgets, you will ideally have a background of working within the third sector and working with volunteers, and understanding and empathy for mental health.
