Senior Sibling Care Worker (Fixed Term Contract)
Our client is a registered charity dedicated to the provision of hospice care for children with life-limiting conditions and their families in the South West.
Position: Senior Sibling Worker
Location: Little Harbour, St Austell
Job type: Full Time, 12-month contract (pregnancy & maternity cover)
Hours: 40 hours per week
Salary: £9.58 per hour (2% pay award due July 2019)

About the role:
They are currently looking for a Senior Sibling Worker to join their team at Little Harbour for a 12-month fixed term contract.
Key responsibilities include providing supervision and support to the sibling workers and managing the day to day delivery of the sibling service. In addition ensuring safeguarding of children and vulnerable adults, meeting the specific needs of the brothers and sisters of children using the hospice, providing activities and opportunities for play to ensure their stay is a positive experience and together with the Care Team, providing emotional support, including bereavement care when needed.
About you:
A relevant play or youth work qualification and previous experience of working with children in providing play and recreational activities is essential. A flexible approach to working days and activities is essential to support the hospice and changeable needs of the families. Their care team work rotating shifts, which include bank holidays, and weekends.

You may have experience of the following: Support Worker, Charity, Charities, Third Sector, Social Care, Voluntary Sector, Healthcare Assistant, Care Staff, Community Development, Care Worker, Vulnerable People, Social Worker, Youth Worker, Not for Profit, NFP etc.
