Closing date: 9am on Monday 10th June 2019

About the role:

Are you a tech-savvy professional with an in-depth understanding of how technology can help them achieve the charity’s goals?

They are looking for an experienced Project Manager to oversee the day to day management and smooth operation of various technology projects, including website launches, online tools, web applications, IT projects and more.

Responsibilities:

You will be joining a well-established projects team, which is home to their project managers and business analysts. This team has a charity wide remit and ambitions to change the way the organisation deals with projects for the better.

You will be working closely with their in-house digital development team which consists of developers, QA and UX, as well as interacting with all other departments across the charity.

About you:

They are looking for someone who is able to successfully manage and take responsibility for the delivery lifecycle of all technology projects and, in doing this, will be really committed to ensuring that delivery is to the highest level of quality, on time and to budget.

Experience of Agile methodology is absolutely essential for this role, and experience with multiple project methodologies would certainly be advantageous. You will be methodical and have excellent time management skills that you expertly apply when managing project risks, budgets, and stakeholders. You are also seen as an exceptional communicator by colleagues; someone whose relationship-building and interpersonal skills enable them to collaborate effectively across an organisation to achieve excellent results.

About the Charity:

Every day brings new challenges for our client. Every day, over 600 seriously ill children from across the UK arrive for life-changing treatments. Every day, young lives hang in the balance as patients, families and staff battle the most complex illnesses. And every day, the brightest minds come together to achieve pioneering medical breakthroughs that change the lives of thousands of children – and change the world. This extraordinary hospital has always depended on charitable support to give seriously ill children the best chance to fulfil their potential. Without donations, our client can’t help fund ground-breaking research, advanced equipment, child and family support services, and the rebuilding and refurbishment of wards and medical facilities. Their staff help to raise these vital funds for the hospital. A better future for seriously ill children starts with you.

Recently awarded with a ‘Best Companies 2-star accreditation' and placed number 17 on the 2019 Sunday Times Best 100 Not-for-Profit Companies list - they offer a range of attractive benefits including; a flexible approach to working, 30 days holiday, life assurance, enhanced employer pension contributions, and a discounted season ticket loan.
