Academic Development Manager
Our client, one of London's leading higher education establishments, is currently looking to recruit a temporary Academic Development Manager to support the achievement of the school's Learning, Teaching and Student Experience strategy.
As the Academic Development Manager, you will manage the school's work in academic development, including provisions that support academics as teachers. You will also play a crucial role in supporting students to develop academic skills. You will also be responsible for overseeing the work of academic skills tutors and ensuring maximum impact on student retention and attainment along with being the key point of contact for all internal and external enquiries in relation to the development programme. You will work collaboratively across the department to support the professional development of academics, including academic and curriculum development, as well as enabling more academics to gain teaching qualifications and accreditations.
To be considered for this post, you will be a proven professional with previous experience in a similar role within higher education. With previous line management experience, you will possess extensive teaching and training experience coupled with experience of supporting students through online and virtual environments. You will also have exceptional communication skills with the ability to work proactively with the ability to act with initiative. The ideal candidate will be familiar with best practice in academic development across teaching, curriculum and student support activities.
