Data Insight Analyst

Position: Data Insight Analyst
Location: Central London, WC1N
Job type: Full Time, Permanent
Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Salary: £Competitive
Benefits: 30 days holiday, enhanced pension contributions, life assurance, discounted season ticket loan, and flexible approach to working

Closing date: 9am on Thursday 13th June 2019

About the role:

Are you a data analyst with experience of producing insight that drives organisational performance? Have you worked with SQL and used programming languages such as R within in a marketing environment? Are you comfortable with statistical techniques and have the communication skills to present the results to a range of audiences? If this sounds like you and you want to put your skills to use in a rewarding and stimulating non-profit environment, then we have a fantastic opportunity for you.

The purpose of the Data Insight Analyst role is to deliver advanced analytics that empower the organisation to achieve its strategic aims of growing their voluntary income and diversifying their supporter base.

You will achieve this through working closely with the wider Data Marketing Team and other fundraisers to deliver analysis that can have a transformational impact on our client's fundraising activities. You will do this through generating actionable insights from their supporter database using the most appropriate tools and techniques for the job.

This role will suit an experienced data analyst who wants to work in a role where they can have a direct and tangible impact on the work of our client and the seriously ill children treated as part of its work.

About the Team

The team collaborates with others across the charity family to enable effective and efficient fundraising by producing analysis, reporting and data selections. Using their expertise, specialist skills and tools they aim to help teams send the right message to supporters at the right time, helping to provide sustainable support for the hospital and to help fund pioneering research.

The team is ambitious and driven and have been shortlisted for two awards at this year’s Institute of Fundraising’s Insight in Fundraising awards.

About you:

You will be an experienced data analyst, with proven examples of delivering insight that drives organisational aims. You could have gained this experience in a range of industries (not just the charity sector), but the key to your experience is an understanding of what makes a good customer (or supporter) experience.

Specifically, you will:

- Have an excellent understanding of statistical techniques (including but not limited to logistic regression, cluster segmentation and multivariate analysis).
- Have proven experience working with SQL Server (in a marketing, membership, retail or fundraising environment).
- Have a solid working knowledge of programme languages including R.
- Be proactive and creative in your approach to problem solving.
- Possess excellent written and spoken communication skills with the ability to adapt to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Be able to manage your own workload and prioritise multiple tasks whist meeting tight deadlines and maintaining your exceptional eye for detail.

About the Charity

Every day brings new challenges for our client. Every day, over 600 seriously ill children from across the UK arrive for life-changing treatments. Every day, young lives hang in the balance as patients, families and staff battle the most complex illnesses. And every day, the brightest minds come together to achieve pioneering medical breakthroughs that change the lives of thousands of children – and change the world. This extraordinary hospital has always depended on charitable support to give seriously ill children the best chance to fulfil their potential. Without donations, they can’t help fund ground-breaking research, advanced equipment, child and family support services, and the rebuilding and refurbishment of wards and medical facilities. Their staff help to raise these vital funds for the hospital. A better future for seriously ill children starts with you.

Recently awarded with a ‘Best Companies 2-star accreditation' and placed number 17 on the 2019 Sunday Times Best 100 Not-for-Profit Companies list - they offer a range of attractive benefits including: a flexible approach to working, 30 days holiday, life assurance, enhanced employer pension contributions, and a discounted season ticket loan.
