About Us:

ISUOG is a professional membership association and charity aiming to improve women’s health though the provision and broadest dissemination of the highest quality education and research information around ultrasound in obstetrics and gynecology. With over 15,700 members based in 140 countries, an established peer review Journal and World Congress and an extensive online education offering, the Society is the leading international society in its niche medical speciality.

About the role:

Ultrasound is an essential part of antenatal assessment (and gynecological care) and the WHO now recommends at least one ultrasound scan for every pregnant woman, and yet there are many regions of the world where women still cannot access this essential service.  ISUOG Outreach has been part of our education programme since the Society's inception 28 years ago, and over the last 10 years has become an established essential part of our strategy and vision for every woman in the world to have access to competent ultrasound services.

We are looking for someone to build on this successful programme and take it to the next level, working as a key member of our education team to integrate and align outreach with our broader international educational offerings.

The post holder will take responsibility for bringing Basic Training and Outreach in line, develop and deliver Outreach’s portfolio, and to increase ISUOG education activities’ reach. This will include project managing development projects in underserved countries, engaging and meeting with key stakeholders and organisations with the intention to further ISUOG’s mission, proactively following up and managing on action points and projects of relevant committees, and communicating activities to stakeholders via the website, social network and other media as appropriate.

You will also support the delivery of ISUOG’s international education programmes more broadly (including Basic Training and teaching teacher activities) and engagement with ISUOG members and other partners around this.

About you:

To be able to perform this role you will need a degree in International Relations or International Development, a minimum of 3 years’ experience in a relevant role within an international environment and experience in developing partnerships. You will need to be a self-starter, possess excellent organisation skills, be approachable, possess exceptional accuracy and attention to detail and be confident communicating in various professional environments.

We are looking for someone who is committed, willing to learn and has an interest in women’s health as well as the drive and motivation to fulfil ISUOG’s mission.  You will also need to be willing to travel to underserved and underdeveloped regions.

The ability to speak foreign languages, a passion for global affairs as well as development and experience in working with committees would be an advantage.

This is a great opportunity to join a vibrant, passionate and growing organisation. If this sounds like you we would like to hear from you.
