Job Details
An International Humanitarian Charity who save lives globally by training thousands of aid workers each year and equipping them with the skills they need to provide emergency relief out in the field, are recruiting for a Quality and Effectiveness Manager on a full time, permanent basis.
As the Quality and Effectiveness Manager, you will play a key role in increasing the effectiveness of humanitarian action, ensuring the programmes and training courses the organisation provide are of world class quality.
You will be responsible for ensuring the organisation are responding accurately to need, through supporting a programme of targeted needs assessments and by working in collaboration with programme teams to manage the range, relevance and quality of their face to face and distance learning materials and resources.
You'll provide hands on support for learning delivery and learning material development, so substantial direct experience of designing and implementing a range of adult learning initiatives and activities and a deep understanding of Learning and Development methodologies is essential.
Leading on the design and implementation of a plan to develop the organisation's services including blended programmes and innovative learning methodologies, you'll ensure the tools and platforms provide effective learning. You will also provide technical advice and quality assurance within programme and project design, including needs assessments, training, e-learning, coaching and monitoring and evaluation of interventions.
You will manage a team of 3 staff, taking the lead on continuous improvement of the training courses and programmes through efficient and insightful monitoring, evaluation and learning as well as driving an understanding of the organisation's impact.
This is a varied role and requires experience in a number of different areas. To be considered for this role, you should have:
-Substantial experience of Monitoring and Evaluation and/or quality assurance of training courses or educational programmes and excellent knowledge of monitoring and evaluation methodologies
-Field experience, preferably internationally, delivering programmes/training to adults
-Line management experience and ability to create a results orientated environment
-Experience within Learning and Development in an NGO or Charity setting
