Asset Manager

Our client is an organisation that provides a range of housing and varied support services to vulnerable people. Their aim is to support people in achieving their full potential. They are currently going through a large period of growth and have a vacancy for an Asset Manager. 

Position: Asset Manager 
Location: Bolton / Leeds or flexible throughout North East 
Job type: Full Time, Permanent 
Hours: 35 hours per week 
Salary: £25,000 to £30,000 per annum (depending on experience and location + car allowance £5109 per annum) 

Closing Date: 31st May 2019

About the role: 

The ideal candidate will be responsible for all asset management services in a geographical area ensuring tenants receive the highest quality of service. 

As a key point of contact for a number of different stakeholder groups, your expertise and knowledge will be your greatest asset along with experience of managing contractors. Working closely with other Asset Managers and Asset Management team members you will ensure compliance, VFM and quality of service for all properties within remit. 

About you: 

You will be a self-starter, able to work independently and possess technical knowledge at a level where you can diagnose and specify day-to-day works. This is a great opportunity for someone who wants to demonstrate their ability to contribute to the development of KPI’s, performance standards and methods of working. 

Experience of using technology and systems to plan for the future, and using intelligence and trend information to ensure their homes are fit for the future (with support and training.), you will have the ability to instruct and manage Consultants, Engineers and Contractors. Experience in using JCT / NEC contracts, budget planning and delivering works on time is essential, as is having a working knowledge of SOR Contracts, particularly SOR Version 6.1. An HND or equivalent relevant qualification is desirable, as is knowledge of the social housing sector. 

You must have a willingness to travel throughout the North East and attend regular meetings in Bolton and London.
