This charity aims to make science a fundamental part of culture and society. Their mission is to transform the diversity and inclusivity of science, to reach under-served audiences and increase the number of people who are actively engaged and involved in science. By unlocking the potential of a more diverse group of people, we increase our ability to tackle some of the world’s biggest challenges and shape our future for the better.

The charity organises major initiatives across the UK, including their flagship education product, and other programmes for young people in schools and colleges.  Their education work plays a critical role in their goal of changing the way science is understood. They believe that children’s and young people’s experiences should be designed to build a lifelong cultural engagement with science.

As Education Officer you will liaise with key stakeholders and partners, undertaking key administration tasks, with the opportunity to lead on set tasks, including consultation events for young people, analysing the impact of programmes, supporting quality assurance processes and working with and developing support materials for assessors and teachers.

You should have an interest in science and the education sector, with strong organisational skills and experience of working on several fast-moving projects or tasks in parallel.  You should be able to use initiative and manage priorities effectively and have a flexible approach to work.  You must have good communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain effective working relationships and write for a range of external audiences.

The closing date for applications is midnight, Monday 27th May 2019.
Interviews are expected to be Wednesday 5th June 2019.
