Network & Volunteering Communications Officer
Job ref: NVCO-CHM
Salary: circa £26,000 Sheffield/ circa £29,000 London based
The post holder will be based either in Sheffield or in London (home-based considered)

This is a brand new role to build and deliver a new internal communications plan to engage and promote best practice across our network of local charities, and bring about real change in how volunteers contribute to CPRE by engaging new external audiences.

We are at an exciting time in our development as a charity, with a new strategy, new brand and a fresh remit to increase our volunteering. The wider Volunteering & Partnerships Team, within which this post will be based, is key to ensuring a successful integration of the national charity with the local charities and achievement of our new strategy goals for 2020-2026.

You can expect to have a wide ranging brief from identifying opportunities to raise the profile of volunteering internally, to improving the support we offer to the CPRE local network, as well as engaging more of our members and the wider public in CPRE volunteering activity.

This is an exciting opportunity to lead on planning and creation of new content and developing new support systems to help the local CPREs build their capacity to engage with their own volunteers. You will also sit on a cross department group, ensuring volunteering is a central element of CPRE external communications and marketing.

This role would suit a confident and professional communicator, with excellent writing skills, who is comfortable with leading new initiatives, familiarity with communications tools, and has experience of successfully marketing volunteering opportunities to a diverse audience.

We are looking for someone with a real passion and energy for driving growth and diversity through volunteering and who will bring creative ways of empowering and engaging new volunteers.

Closing date: 12 noon 29th May 2019
Interview date: Wednesday 12 June in Sheffield or Monday 17 June in London
