Job Details

Job Title:  Head of Finance

Hours:  Full-time / Permanent / Interim considered

Salary:  £44k - £48K (salary for Interim post negotiable, depending on experience)        

Location:  Lewes, Brighton

We are working in partnership with an animal welfare charity who are looking to appoint a Head of Finance to oversee the day to day activities of the finance team and ensure that the Charity’s finance function is organised and efficient and produces accurate financial and management accounts.  You will act as Company Secretary for the charity and its trading subsidiaries and support the CEO in the strategic leadership of the charity.

The successful candidate will need to be a fully qualified accountant and demonstrate the following:

  • 5 years’ experience in a similar managerial role
  • Knowledge and experience of financial control and management reporting
  • Experience of managing a finance team
  • Proven application of sound and effective customer care skills
  • Experience of Sage

We are seeking a self-motivated individual with excellent communication skills and attention to detail.  You will the ability to think creatively and manage deadlines and prioritise demanding workloads.
