Our client is a charity dedicated to supporting adults with a learning disability to lead independent lives with opportunity and choice where their rights are respected. They provide a range of services in Coventry and Oxford which help people with a learning disability live their life to the full.

Position: Community Manager
Location: Oxfordshire (Locations in Blackbird Leys, Greater Leys, Chipping Norton) – Commutable from Banbury and surrounding areas.
Contract type: Full Time, Permanent
Hours: 37 hours per week
Salary: Starting at £27,465 per annum

About the Role:
Our client is looking for a confident, dynamic and intuitive Community Manager to lead their Day Activities services based in Blackbird Leys, Greater Leys and Chipping Norton with a regional office in Banbury. You will be proactive and lead the delivery of high quality person centred activities to vulnerable adults and will engage with the wider community. You will also support vulnerable adults in finding suitable employment, or voluntary placements with your staff team and be adept at monitoring your service ensuring continuous improvement and the development of Day Activities in the Oxford Area.

About You:
The Community Manager role will require some local travel around Oxfordshire and occasional travel to the Coventry Head Office, so you will be expected to have a full driving license and access to a vehicle.

The successful candidate will be keen to take on new challenges and will be proactive in their approach with excellent attention to detail. You will have significant management experience, with a proven track record of leading a team, preferably in a social care environment. You will hold or be willing to work towards a leadership and management qualification (level 5) in Health and Social Care. With the ability to lead on new projects, you will also be expected to network with other agencies and represent the organisation within the local communities of the Day Activities services.

As Community Manager, you will have ability to understand and produce comprehensive risk assessments and experience of managing a budget, along with the ability to set and prioritise goals and targets and to monitor and review performance.

You will be extremely confident using the Microsoft Office Package (word, excel, PowerPoint etc.)
