Workforce Development Manager (Training & Development)

Birmingham

£28,000 FTE

Part time - 22.5 hours per week

Do you want to be part of an organisation that wants to see “Better Mental Health for All”? Do you want to work for an expanding local Charity that is routed in its values and local communities?

Our client has a well-earned reputation for excelling in quality and the organisation plays a key role in supporting the wider mental health services in the City. With over 55 years’ experience of supporting people with mental health difficulties within local communities, they continue to challenge the stigma that still surrounds mental distress.

The organisation now has an exciting and challenging new role for a Workforce Development Manager who will take a leading role in shaping the training and development of the organisation’s staff, volunteers and trustees. In this role, the successful candidate will oversee the company’s core training programme and identify the key training and development needs within each of the organisation’s services.

Working closely with the HR department, the Workforce Development Manager will effectively support the induction and ongoing development of staff with a strong, visible commitment to service user involvement and recovery based delivery. The successful candidate will also oversee the coordination of training activity and ensure that an accurate record of training and development activity is collated and reported upon.

Our client is seeking someone who already has experience of learning and development within a workforce development role. The person will be skilled at delivering a wide range of training and will have produced and developed their own training programmes. Excellent communication skills and the ability to influence, persuade and negotiate with people at all levels is essential.

People are key to the success of this organisation and the organisation is recognised as both a Mindful Employer as well as achieving Gold standard success in Investors in People.
