Bath
£18,823 per annum (pro rata - amount is £9411.50 per annum)
Background
Do you want to delight customers and join a forward thinking social housing company who want to invest and develop in a career that grows with you? Our Independent Living service is looking for a positive and dynamic person to join their dedicated team.
Our client has been ranked in the top 50 in The Sunday Times Top 100 Best Not-for-Profit Organisations to work for in the whole of the UK. They are one of the largest landlords in the South West, with a diverse portfolio of affordable and market rented homes.
What you'll be doing
You’ll be based at one of our client’s Sheltered Leasehold Schemes delivering customer focused support and carrying out housing management duties such as alarm and smoke detection testing.
You’ll be assisting customers to sustain their tenancy, maximise their income, reduce debt, increase wellbeing and live connected and safe lives as part of a community.
Your day will start with morning calls and then you will be carrying out visits and doing health and safety checks, as well as reporting repairs and being the first point of call for your customers.
More about you
You’ll be part of our client’s supportive and friendly team of Sheltered Housing Officers, but at the same time enjoy working on your own, with support being on the end of the phone if you need it.
You’ll want to give something back to your community, have a passion for working with people from different backgrounds and experience of providing 1-1 support.
At the same time you will demonstrate resilience and the desire to work in an interesting environment where no day is ever the same!
Our client will need to take up an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Check for this role which they will do for you when you start.
When and where you'll be doing it
You will be able to work flexibly, 5 mornings per week, based on customers’ needs. You will be responsible for organizing your own workload and setting your diary appointments.
You’ll be based in one of our client’s schemes in central Bath. The scheme has parking available or is accessible by public transport.
What will you get in return?
Our client thinks you’ll have a job that makes you feel good about what you’re doing – you will make a difference to their customers’ lives every day.
You’ll get:
- Additional day annual leave on your birthday
- 26 days annual leave per year (plus bank holidays) rising to 29 after 3 years’ service
- Opportunity to earn additional performance related pay
- Company Pension contribution of up to 10%
- Flexible Benefits including health care, gym membership, additional holiday purchase
Our client is about getting the right candidate for the right role, however they recognise that as an organization they are underrepresented in certain areas and therefore they operate the disability confident scheme to encourage disabled applicants and they welcome applications from candidates who are BAME or LGBTQ+.
