Job Details

Unicef ensures more of the world’s children are vaccinated, educated and protected than any other organisation. We have done more to influence laws and policies to help protect children than anyone else. We get things done. And we’re not going to stop until the world is a safe place for all our children.

Direct Marketing at Unicef UK is responsible for recruiting and developing support for Unicef’s work for children from individual members of the public.  We do this using a range of fundraising products, reaching people across a wide range of media channels including (but not limited to) Direct Mail, DRTV, Email, Telephone, Paid Search, Social and Display.  In 2018 we launched two new fundraising products. Both pilots were successful, and now we are looking to grow these products in 2019.

We are recruiting for a Fundraising Product Manager to lead exploration, development and marketing of these existing fundraising products: Paddington’s Parcels (a virtual giving families product brought to life by Paddington the Bear https://market.unicef.org.uk/paddington-bear-parcels/) and Water Walk (a mass participation virtual walking challenge https://waterwalk.unicef.org.uk/). Products must be delivered to time and within budget and meet Unicef UK’s strategic objectives and you’ll be critical in helping us achieve our ambitious goals and growth targets.

To succeed in this role, you’ll be passionate about delivering outstanding supporter experience, while maximising our opportunities to earn even more income for children. Solid experience of fundraising products is essential. You’ll be an enthusiastic, dynamic and resilient team player, willing to get stuck in and take two products that have shown promise at pilot stage onto the next stage of the product lifecycle.

You will need to be adept at stakeholder management and possess excellent communication skills that help you build strong relationships with colleagues and external agencies. You must also be skilled at managing multiple projects at the same time while maintaining a high level of drive and commitment.

This is a fixed term role until end December 2019.

Closing date: 5pm, Tuesday 7 May 2019

Interview date:  Friday 17 May 2019

Act now and visit www.unicef.org.uk/jobs to apply online.

We particularly welcome applications from black, Asian and minority ethnic candidates, LGBTQ+ candidates, candidates with disabilities, and from men, because we would like to increase the representation of these groups at this level. We want to do this because we know greater diversity will lead to even greater results for children.

Unicef UK promotes equality, diversity and inclusion in our workplace. We make employment decisions by matching business needs with skills and experience of candidates, irrespective of age, disability (including hidden disabilities), gender, gender identity or gender reassignment, marriage and civil partnership, pregnancy and maternity, race, religion or belief, or sexual orientation.

We are happy to talk about flexible working, personal growth, and to promote a workplace where you can be yourself and achieve success based only on your merit.

The successful candidate will be required to apply for a criminal records check. A criminal record will not necessarily bar you from working with us. This will depend on the nature of the role and the circumstances of your offences.

We only accept online applications as this saves us money, making more funds available for us to help ensure children’s rights. CVs will not be accepted.

If you require support in completing the online form or an application form in an alternative format, please contact Supporter Care on 0300 330 5580 during office hours.

If you do not hear from us within 14 days of the closing date, please assume your application has been unsuccessful on this occasion. Please note that we only provide feedback to shortlisted candidates.
