Our client, a long established Livery Charitable Trust is looking to recruit a Grants Programme Manager (Young People & Education) to assess grants that they receive through various sources and to identify potential beneficiaries. They will also need to support the development of grant programmes which are aligned to the Company's philanthropic strategic aims.

This vital role will be responsible for devising and delivering strategic direction along with the team and trustees to build on the existing portfolio of beneficiaries. Grants assessment, making recommendations and managing the awards process will all be essential components of this role. Working collaboratively and creatively with other team members in addition to organising and attending external events to promote the work of the charity will also be vital parts of this interesting role.

The successful candidate will have demonstrated experience of delivering grants assessment and development ideally within the areas of children, young people and education in addition to an understanding of service delivery in the charity sector or the ability to pick things up quickly. An effective project manager, this person will be an outstanding communicator and will be confident and empathetic in dealing with a wide range of audience and stakeholders. This should all be underpinned by a commitment to delivering high quality and knowledgeable grant assessment in line with the foundation's aims of improving the lives of young people.
