Corporate Planning Manager
We are the charity responsible for managing the Tower of London, Hampton Court Palace, the Banqueting House, Kensington Palace, Kew’s royal buildings and Hillsborough Castle and Gardens in Northern Ireland.
We are searching for an experienced individual to develop and implement a framework for monitoring and managing the performance of the organisation to help improve the way we work, streamlining and simplifying our processes.
Position: Corporate Planning Manager
Location: Hampton Court Palace, London (travel to all sites required)
Job type: Full Time, 2 years Fixed Term Contract
Salary: circa £42,000 per annum
Closing Date: 6th May 2019
About the role:
The organisation is at an exciting stage; we have a new Cause and are working to our new strategy. This role will be instrumental in reviewing current data and performance management reporting, rationalising and simplifying current practice and developing and implementing corporate success measures (KPIs and measurement of charitable impact) and a performance dashboard. You will play an important part in supporting us achieving our goals.
A key responsibility will be to collate and critically assess performance information for the Executive Board and our Board of Trustees. This information will need to be disseminated throughout the organisation, so strong, clear communication skills, both written and oral, will be essential. It will also be vital to have the ability to assimilate information quickly and distil intelligence from different parts of the organisation to make informed judgements and recommendations in a structured way.
Reporting to the Head of Governance, you will work closely with the Executive Board and senior leaders, and be comfortable working with stakeholders at all levels. You will be expected to contribute to, and support the Executive Board in the creation and development of the Operating Plan; collaborating with the Finance Director and Head of Financial Planning to redesign the content and format of the Operating Plan to align it with HRP’s strategic framework. Relationship building at all levels of seniority therefore is a key quality required to be successful in this position.
About you:
If you are educated to degree level with experience of developing frameworks for performance management in complex organisations, ideally in a not for profit organisation but with commercial and financial knowledge, then we would love to hear from you.
We are an equal opportunities employer and truly value a diverse workforce. Applications are welcome from candidates regardless of their background.
You may have experience of the following: Corporate Planning Manager, Planning Manager, Project Manager, Programme Manager, Operations Manager, Continuous Improvement, etc.
