This is an exciting opportunity for a senior corporate or major donor fund raiser with a track record looking for a step up, or a fund raising consultant looking at a longer term commitment. We are looking for a focussed targets driven fund raiser to drive significant income generation as we enter a new fund raising strategy looking to diversify our sources of income. You will work hand in hand with the CEO and fund raising team, with the primary focus initially being on generating significant income in the corporate and major donor field, building on our existing pipeline and strong network of relationships. As a Director you will be part of the overall leadership of the charity.

TwentyTwenty is a charity dedicated to helping young people who are furthest from the work place secure bright futures. We break cycles of hopelessness, unemployment and dependency in the most deprived areas of the Midlands. Our aim is to help young people see beyond their disadvantage and disengagement, recognise their worth and potential, focus on building the skills and plans for success, and develop a clear vision to achieve a bright future.

We offer this help through a range of effective integrated projects in our award winning Life skills centres based in Derby and Leicester.  Each centre is a true learning community and a supportive ‘can do’ environment where students come together with teachers, counsellors, mentors and local business volunteers, all positively committed to their progress.

What we dream about (Our Vision):

We want to see Bright Futures for young people. A society where all young people are able to contribute through sustainable employment, however far the distance travelled from where they start.

What we are here for (Our Mission):

We help young people aged 11-24 who are impacted by social injustice transform their lives through educating and supporting them to achieve sustained education and employment.

Who we are (Our values):

  • Young people are brilliant: every young person has God given worth, significance and abilities, and is treated as such. Everything we do aims to develop their full potential and help them ‘find the gold’ in themselves. Their views and opinions play a key role in shaping our services.
  • Young people deserve the best: quality is our priority, measured by the results young people are empowered to achieve and the impact we make. These are the true measures of our success, and we focus on consistent improvement to this end. Our growth and expansion always contributes to quality and does not lessen it.
  • A great team can achieve anything: the right people are our best asset. We recruit for attitude (staff and volunteers) and train for skills. An attitude and aptitude for teamwork is essential, and everyone is encouraged to share their ideas to help us improve.
  • Diversity matters: Our Christian ethos demands respect for people of all faiths and none. A purposely diverse staff/volunteer team serve young people best. Faith in young people and a commitment to keep learning are the non-negotiable characteristics of all staff, volunteers and trustees.

We want to increase our impact to work with more young people and continue to improve outcomes for those young people, and this role is crucial for that dream.
