Mental Health Innovations is a pioneering new digital mental health charity which develops and delivers new digital tools that will greatly enhance how people have conversations surrounding their mental health. Founded in November 2017 following the success of The Royal Foundation's 'Heads Together' campaign, it was identified that by utilising digital platforms and tools there was huge potential to reach an extensive remit and offer remote, and national, support services to individuals struggling with their mental health.
The organisation's mission is to transform lives by improving access to digital resources and is grounded in its strong belief that technology can help improve mental health outcomes in the UK. We are delighted to be working together to recruit a Finance Manager to join its growing team.
Reporting to the Head of Finance & Strategy this role will be responsible for two broad strands of work. On one hand, the fundamental charity finance reporting and accounting responsibilities and the other, a more creative and analytical component aimed at modelling and developing financial solutions. Innovation is core to the operational values of the organisation, so this role will work closely with the wider team to support financial governance, monitoring budgets, modelling financial business cases for special projects and analysis of commercial initiatives including pricing, market sizing and implementation. This role will be underpinned by sound financial monitoring, control, governance and compliance responsibilities.
The successful candidate will reflect the needs mentioned above in terms of having a strong core of financial management experience backed up by a creative eye for innovation around financial modelling and analysis. This person will have relevant ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualifications and substantial experience in a similar Finance Management role, probably within the charity sector. Working in an entrepreneurial environment, this person will have the ability to bring ideas to the table and to present strong, detailed and costed business cases in collaboration with the wider team.
Highly organised, commercially minded and logical, this person will also have an interest in improving mental health outcomes in the UK
