At an exciting time of development and expansion for their Research & Innovation department, the university is currently recruiting a Research Information Manager; a newly created position focussed on data and reporting.

As their Research Information Manager, you will strategically lead their Research, Knowledge Exchange & Innovation strategies, policies and associated initiative by managing, analysing, reporting and advising on research information and data. Reporting to the Head of Research Development, you will work collaboratively with heads of departments within their Research function, to ensure that the information they hold is accurate and accessible, and that the reporting to internal and external stakeholders is as effective as possible, in order to maximise opportunities for research, funding, innovation and impact. This a senior position for the university, and as such you will take responsibility for ensuring successful delivery of key strategic outcomes; devising reporting systems and sources in order to inform development, implementation and monitoring.

To be considered, you will have previous professional experience in a similar role, together with current knowledge of UK and international research and Higher Education funding environments. A strong leader, you will be innovative and forward-thinking in your approach and possess the ability to devise and implement strategies, processes and systems that support the work of research functions, ideally within the Arts. Due to the nature of the role, you will possess strong data analysis skills and reporting intelligence coupled with the confidence to work automatously, and delegate where appropriate. Finally, you must be educated to degree level or equivalent, and possess exceptional communications and stakeholder management skills.
