Community Advice Worker

Fixed term until 31^st March 2020, possibility of extension subject to funding

We are looking for generalist advisers to join our service in Haringey as a Community Advice Workers, offering generalist advice to those in need.

The successful post holders will be responsible for providing advice at drop-in sessions at outreach venues across Haringey as well as with in the services main office.  Although it’s a temporary position there is a possibility of an extension, subject to funding.

If you:

• Have recent and/or ongoing experience in delivering generalist advice to clients.

• A proven ability in interviewing clients using sensitive listening and questioning skills to get to the root of the issues and empower clients, whilst maintaining structure and control of meetings.

• Effective written and oral communication skills with particular emphasis on negotiating.
