Our client is a national charity that inspires people affected by spinal cord injury to get the most out of life.
Every four hours in the UK, someone will sustain a spinal cord injury and become paralysed. Their life and the lives of those around them will be changed forever – this organisation exists to help people pick up the pieces and get things back on track again
Role: Events and Challenge Manager
Location: Wandsworth, London
Salary: £30,000-£35,000, depending on experience
Hours: 37 hours per week
Duration: Permanent

About the Role
The Events and Challenge team manage a programme of 10-15 events per year to raise funds, raise awareness and support the work of the charity. As manager, you will lead on the charity’s flagship events, including The City Dinner, Front Row Fashion Show and Back Up Ball. You will also be responsible for our inclusive challenge events like the Snowdon Push which capture the ethos of Back Up as a ‘can-do’ charity.
The role requires a strong team player who can demonstrate timely completion of multiple projects whilst remaining flexible. The post holder will work with a range of stakeholders including senior management, staff within the charity, trustees, sponsors, committees and other volunteers, in order to maximise the effectiveness of each event
Qualified fundraiser and/or significant charity fundraising experience
You will be an experienced Events Manager with experience of organising high-end events and working with high net worth supporters. You will be solution-focused, hard-working and a team player. You will have the ability to think on your feet whilst delivering unforgettable events and keeping a close eye on the ROI. Our client is a disability inclusive employer and recruit many people who either have, or have been personally affected by, spinal cord injury.
