Marketing & Communications Coordinator

Our client is looking for a proactive, organised and creative Marketing & Communications Coordinator to promote their great work to raise brand awareness and ensure the importance and impact of their work is well known. 

This job requires a highly organised individual with exceptional attention to detail who is comfortable interacting with a variety of individuals across all levels. The ideal candidate needs to stay up to date on the latest social trends within the community and learn best practices and guide co-workers on these best practices. You will have a passion for all thing’s social media and digital trends and be able to work in a fast paced environment.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to lead on coordinating planned marketing and social media activity to help raise their brand awareness and issues affecting young people. Working in a small team, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of marketing and communications tools including their social media channels, activities calendar, digital marketing, website management and copy, blog posts and content creation. You will be process driven with meticulous planning skills, an excellent writer and communicator, who can work under pressure and to tight deadlines.

This is a great opportunity for someone looking to gain experience in marketing and communications for a national organisation. The ideal candidate will have a proven knowledge of social and digital channels, strong website management skills and experience with content management systems. You will need to be able to create engaging and shareable content, have good copywriting and proofing skills and the ability to work proactively and under your own initiative.

This role offers the chance to make a real difference to the lives of thousands of young people through supporting the fundraising and delivery efforts of their team and the community-based youth groups they support. 

They offer a salary of between £22,000- £25,000. Additional benefits include 27 days annual leave plus bank holidays, a pension scheme (currently they match employee contributions up to 5%), a life insurance scheme which would pay out up to 4 times your salary and additional staff benefits including an Employee Assistance programme to support employees both professionally and personally. They are a flexible employer and will to consider applicants applying for this role on a part time basis, flexible basis or job share basis, this will be subject to operational needs. Occasional evening and weekend work will be required as part of this role.
