Interim Governance Officer

We are supporting our client to recruit an Interim Governance Officer for an initial period of three months, with the possibility of the role being extended.
Reporting to the Company Secretary, the overall purpose of this role is to provide support with managing the organisation's board and committee programme. Day to day duties will include minute taking at committee meetings, maintaining calendar appointments,Â preparing and booking meetings rooms, and preparing papers and agendas. You will have the opportunity to assist with their internal audit programme, liaising with internal auditors and preparing reports, along with maintaining a register of audit recommendations. In addition, you will ensure action points from meetings are followed up and completed within a timely manner.
To be considered for this role, it is essential to have proven experience of taking minutes at committee and board meetings, following up with action points, as well as preparing papers and agendas ahead of the meetings. Some governance knowledge is required for this role, accompanied with a methodical approach to managing projects and multiple priorities. The successful candidate will have experience of collating and analysing complex information with the ability to build positive relationships both internally and externally. Some knowledge of internal audit processes and regulatory bodies is required for this role and you must have a high level of attention to detail.
