An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and enthusiastic Research and Policy Officer to join our client in a crucial role to help deliver positive change for single parent families.

Our client is the leading national charity working with single parent families, providing expert advice, practical support and campaigns to improve the lives of single parent families.

Role: Research and Policy Officer

Location: Kentish Town, London

Hours: 35 hours

Salary: £36,751

Duration: Permanent

In this role you will be joining our client at an exciting time having recently celebrated their 100th year, a new three-year strategy and a strong fundraising focus, supported by their CEO and Board of Trustees.

About you

As Research and Policy Officer you will have a passion for investigating the drivers of inequality and using research data and analysis to generate new policy ideas. You will have sound experience in conducting research projects, qualitative and quantitative skills to gather and analyse data and a solid understanding of the policy landscape as it affects single parent families.

The Research and Policy Officer will work towards the vision of a world where diverse families can thrive. You will support the charity to champion and enable single parent families to live secure, happy and fulfilling lives. Working collaboratively with colleagues and with external partners, you will be responsible for managing policy and research projects to deliver their strategy.

You will help bring the voice of single parents into the policy making process and ensuring that they are heard where it matters, as well as delivering key research and policy outputs including research reports, analysis of trends and policy briefing papers.
