Chief Executive

Woking Mind has an opportunity for someone with proven experience as a senior leader in the charity sector to join them as Chief Executive Officer. The Charity provides a drop-in service for information and support in a safe and welcoming environment three mornings per week, as well as mental health awareness training in local schools and companies. Duties of this role will include:

• Setting and managing organisational budgets, and working creatively within their limitations
• Handling operational activities within budget
• Managing the small team of employees and recruiting for volunteers
• Securing funding through fundraising activities
• Representing the organisation at external events and publicity opportunities
• Supplying regular reports to the Board of Trustees and attending quarterly Trustee meetings
• Ensuring the organisation fulfils its legal, statutory and regulatory responsibilities

A naturally confident communicator with highly developed written and oral skills together with relevant and comparative third sector experience will suit this demanding and rewarding part-time role based in Woking. The position necessitates you be a car driver with a willingness to work occasional evenings and weekends in addition to 15 hours from Monday to Wednesday each week. Salary is £35,100 pro rata (£14,040 per annum).
