The Science Museum Group's mission is to 'inspire futures' and our five museums are a key national resource. With unparalleled collections in the fields of science, technology, engineering, mathematics and medicine, the Group is uniquely placed to draw people of all ages to engage with science in an inspirational and informal way. And with over 600,000 of the Group's 5 million visitors each year coming in booked education groups, we also have an extraordinary capacity to open people's minds to the creativity and wonder of science.

As Director of Corporate Services, you will deliver strategic, tactical and transparent financial leadership to ensure the continued financial sustainability of the Science Museum Group. You will oversee the continued delivery of fit-for-purpose information and communication technologies that support strategic objectives. You will also ensure the continued delivery of effective financial, procurement and legal services that together provide robust governance and appropriate management of risk.

As well as developing business cases for government funding and producing statutory accounts, you will oversee management of the finance operations team, ensuring an effective system of internal control is maintained. As part of your role you will also oversee the delivery of a revised ICT strategy and provide Legal and Procurement services that are compliant and accessible to colleagues.

You will be a qualified accountant with experience of government, charitable and commercial accounting, and have experience of senior management in a complex, multi-site environment. In addition to the ability to review systems and processes, you will have experience of working with senior committees and be able to set direction and inspire commitment.

You will be offered excellent benefits, including 30 days annual leave in addition to bank holidays, a contributory pension scheme, BUPA medical and dental care, an annual season ticket loan and numerous staff discounts whilst continuing your career in a world class museum group.

1st stage interviews will take place on Monday 13th and Tuesday 14th May 2019.
