Job Details
Our client is a London based charity aiming to prevent homelessness. They work closely with vulnerable and socially excluded people to help transform their lives. They are currently looking to recruit an Education, Training & Employment (ETE) Coordinator to provide individually-tailored support to empower people with a history of substance misuse, helping them to access education, training, employment and volunteering opportunities. This position is offered on a temporary basis, initially for two months.
As an ETE Coordinator, you will provide high quality employability support to people with a history of substance use. Working within the charities policy and procedural framework, you will manage a caseload of clients participating in a 12-weeks support programme providing service users with floating ETE and support service. You will assist with CV and application writing along with interview techniques. You will also support clients into employment or other activities that maximise their chances of employment such as volunteering and training opportunities. Client and outcome focused, you will create opportunities through networking with employers, other relevant agencies and services for clients.
The ideal candidate must have proven experience of providing employment support, guidance and advice to socially excluded groups. You will also have great awareness of the barriers to gaining and maintaining employment. You will demonstrate the ability to assess clients' needs and develop individual action plans as well has be able to support clients on a 1:1 basis and in a workshop setting. To be successful in this role, you will offer a proactive, motivating and energetic service to clients and stakeholders.
To be considered, you must be available immediately and be in possession of a fully enhanced DBS check that is registered to the online update service. You will also be available to work 37.5 hours per week, working across Monday - Friday, from 9am - 5pm).
