Generalist Adviser/Caseworker for people with Learning Difficulties and Disabilities
Fixed term until 31st March 2020
Based in an inner city multi-racial area of Leeds, Chapeltown Citizens Advice provides a comprehensive advice service from its main office and outreaches.This project will present you with an exciting opportunity to maintain and develop a quality generalist advice service tailored to meet the specific needs of people with Learning Difficulties/Disabilities in a variety of locations - including home visits, across the City. These sessions will provide advice to people with Learning Difficulties / Disabilities and their Carers.
You should have recent experience, full or part time equivalent, paid or unpaid, of advising clients and carrying casework within a generalist advice work setting including recent experience and a good working knowledge of all aspects of welfare rights advice. You will carry and manage your own caseload.
Enhanced level DBS check: because these advisers will work closely with vulnerable clients an enhanced DBS check will be required for all successful applicants.
