Prospectus is delighted to be working with a national cancer charity to recruit a Research Manager (Epidemiology). The Research Manager will lead and manage the Knowledge Team, ensuring that the organisation's activity to deliver its 10-year strategy is underpinned by the clinical and epidemiological evidence.

Please note, this is a 6 month fixed term contract.

The Research Manager will lead the analysis of new external research and data, as well as oversee the regular updating of best practice and the data map that shows the current state of cancer within the UK. You will ensure the effectiveness and accuracy of evidence used and knowledge acquired by the organisation.

The successful candidate will be educated to postgraduate level in a health epidemiology or a biomedical science discipline and possess an excellent understanding of health epidemiology. Comfortable working with qualitative and quantitative data, you will have robust research skills. Experience of conducting or commissioning independent research that pulls from external data sources is essential, as is the ability to critically appraise a range of evidence sources. You will be an excellent communicator and have experience in using data analysis software such as Excel, Tableau and SPSS.
