Main Duties:

- Establishing a community fundraising programme that will grow and become more successful year on year

- Developing community fundraising to appeal to as wide a range of potential supporters as possible.

- Creating, managing and supporting new voluntary groups around the country fundraising on behalf of RAD

- Establishing and supporting social media pages and sites to promote the activities of the fundraising groups and community fundraising in general

- Providing advice and support to individuals taking part in fundraising activity wherever they are based in the UK; this could be by telephone, email, social media or face to face

- Providing RAD support materials and advice for anyone participating in “in aid of” fundraising in their local community

- Developing and leading fundraising campaigns maximising the support of schools, colleges and universities for RAD

- Developing and leading support from clubs, associations and societies such as the WI, Rotary, Lions and Round Table and other similar organisations that play roles in the local community

- Developing and leading support from young people’s groups such as Girl Guides, Scouts, Rangers etc.

- Developing community support for Royal Deaf Week

- Overseeing public collections on behalf of RAD and ensuring best practice on every occasion

- Working with the Corporate Fundraising Manager and the Head of Fundraising, reviewing and assessing all community fundraising activity to refine the offer made to RAD supporters

- Maintaining knowledge of trends within community fundraising and assessing their relevance to RAD

- Providing the Fundraising Manager and the Head of Fundraising with accurate reports and figures on a regular basis

- Playing a key role in developing all forms of fundraising at RAD, being a team player and supporter of wider fundraising activity

- Ensuring that all data is captured and processed accurately in line with GDPR requirements

- Ensure the service database is properly updated and managed
