We are seeking to appoint a Safeguarding Co-ordinator to lead on the development, and implementation of safeguarding policy and practice across the diocese, in line with the national procedures.

Managing a team of staff, s/he will be responsible for ensuring an appropriate response to all incidents of abuse relating to children and adults at risk and for promoting good safeguarding practice within parishes, religious orders and agencies throughout the diocese.  

The successful candidate will be educated to degree level or equivalent and should possess substantial contemporary experience in a professional safeguarding role in either a social work, education, police, probation or health setting.
