Location
Wakefield, West Yorkshire
Salary
£40,000 - £44,700 (depending on experience)
Closing date

There is some flexibility regarding working days and overall FTE commitment.

The Citizens Advice service helps people resolve their legal, money and other problems by providing information and advice on a range of topics, through multiple channels, and by influencing policymakers.

This is an exciting opportunity to lead a fantastic team of staff and volunteers at our office in Wakefield and at seven outreach locations across Wakefield District.

In addition to providing a core advice service, Wakefield delivers specialist debt advice and the Help to Claim service for Universal Credit. We have a record of high customer satisfaction and achievement of challenging objectives.

Although the Chief Officer is responsible overall for the success of the organisation and its staff and work, the focus of the role will be on strategic management, diversifying the funding and business development in a challenging environment.  The Chief Officer will be supported by a committed Trustee Board, a skilled management team and an amazing group of staff and volunteers, creating an environment that is supportive and hard working.

If you have a good track record of business planning, fundraising and business development as well as experience of leading a team and managing a budget and you share our commitment to the principles underpinning Citizens Advice work, then this role could be for you.
