Major Events Fundraiser
Job Title: Interim Major Events Fundraiser
Hours/contract: Full time/ 3 months minimum
Salary: £25k per annum
Location: Isle of Wight
We are working in partnership with a well-established charity on the Isle of Wight. The charity is now looking to appoint a Major Events Fundraiser to be responsible for managing and supporting a team to plan, grow and review the charity’s Major Event Programme to maximise income, attendance, engagement and profit, year on year.
The successful candidate will need to demonstrate the following:
- Minimum of 2 years of working in a senior event fundraising role in the charity sector or a minimum of 3 years in a commercial events management role
- Experience of strategic planning and budget setting for all aspects of large-scale event management
- Successful management of a team to deliver annual plans with a track record of growing income
- Experience of developing new channels of communication and implementing marketing strategies using broad and varied marketing techniques, including digital and direct mail
You will be a pro-active individual with excellent communications skills and the ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders at a range of levels. You will have significant influencing, negotiating and persuading skills and be able to prioritise and plan your workload whilst working on multiple tasks.
