Closing date

Mental Health Matters is a forward-thinking charity which provides services to service users with a wide range of needs. With roots entrenched in the north east of England, we have expanded our services to other areas across the country, services which are recognised for their consistently high quality of delivery. Our current Chief Executive, Helen Mackay, has been with us since 1987 and has seen MHM develop into what it is today under her leadership. This is an exciting yet challenging time for us, as we enter the next phase of our development in what is an uncertain and volatile policy context.

We seek someone who can take our heritage, combine it with the passion and energy for continuing to deliver excellence and quality, and be excited for the future; taking an innovative and creative approach to how we shape our strategy to meet the needs of our existing and future service users. You will lead a senior management team which is high calibre, motivated and forward-thinking. You will join an organisation which has a strong culture and a passion for achieving its mission and vision, which is centred on providing the very best care with compassion.

You will ideally have a background in health and social care, and either be an existing Chief Executive looking to join an organisation which has much room for potential, or someone ready to make their first step into the post. Experienced in delivering complex services across a wide geographical base, and comfortable with the ambassadorial elements of the post, you will have the drive and determination to take us on to the next stage of our development. If this sounds like you, we would like to hear from you.
