Our client is an expanding charity that provides a unique range of services for children and young adults with special educational needs and disability. Their vision is to ‘Brighten Lives and Build Futures’ for young people in Bolton, across the North West and beyond.
Position: Support Worker
Location: Various throughout Bolton
Hours: Full time, part time, weekend hours available.
Salary: £9.18 - £9.74 p/h

About the Role
Working with children and young people with special educational need and disabilities can be a challenging but rewarding job whatever the role; it’s a job that requires enthusiasm, dedication, energy, and a sense of humour. About You
You will be passionate about working with children and young adults, supporting, encouraging and motivating them in a safe, homely and structured environment. You will assist each individual as they transition in to adulthood and a more independent life. You will focus on their ability, not their disability and strive to ensure each person continues to be able to do more. Staff are at the heart of the organisations so while experience is not essential as full training will be given, you will be caring and passionate about the work you do and the people you care for.
Appointable candidates will be required to apply for a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.
This post is also subject to satisfactory references, proof of right to work in the UK in accordance with the Asylum and Immigration Act 1996 and other pre-employment checks where applicable.
Please note that in order to comply with current good practice guidelines, you must be a least 4 years older than the oldest child in our client’s services to be appointed to this position. If you are invited for interview, you will be required to produce proof of your identity, including proof that you are over 23-years-old.
Whilst experience is not essential as full training will be provided we very much welcome previous experience working as Home Carer, Care Worker, Challenging Behaviour, Educational Needs, Health Care Assistant, Support Worker, Nurses, Social Care Worker, Care Assistant, Mental Health Care Worker, Voluntary Worker.
