Do you want to be part of something amazing at CLIC Sargent? Well your luck is in, now is your chance!

CLIC Sargent’s pretty awesome Policy and Influencing Team are looking to recruit a Policy and Public Affairs Officer to critically assess policy developments, continue to raise awareness of CLIC Sargent in Parliament and deliver our exciting campaigns.

Since we launched our #CancerCosts campaign, we’ve successfully campaigned for a Children’s Funeral Fund, made the travel insurance system easier to navigate for young cancer patients and got children and young people with cancer mentioned at the highest levels – we need someone brilliant to help us to continue to make change happen for young cancer patients and their families. Could that be you?

You’ll have a really important role in CLIC Sargent‘s Making Change Happen strategy and in enabling the Policy and Influencing Team to maximise the influence and impact of our #CancerCosts campaign. You will be helping our campaigns be talked about in parliament by maintain excellent relationships with politicians, co-delivering the secretariat for the All Party Parliamentary Group (APPG) APPG on Children, Teenagers and Young Adults and delivering activity for our flagship campaigning month. You will also be writing briefing papers and consultation responses and representing CLIC Sargent at high profile external meetings.

We don’t expect you to be an expert in all these areas (not yet, anyway) but we do expect you to take pride in your work, show a positive attitude and creativity as standard and be a great ambassador for our team. Most important of all is a passion for changing the system for young lives against cancer.

In return we offer a competitive salary, impressive benefits, tea, cake and the opportunity to be part of one of the most exciting charities around. You’d be part of a high performing team that punches well above its weight.

If you’re an excellent communicator, love to geek out on policy and public affairs and have experience of campaigning get applying!

Cancer doesn’t discriminate and neither do we!  We are always looking for talented people from all backgrounds, to join our fight for young lives against cancers. We particularly want to encourage people from under-represented groups to get applying.  We also welcome applicants wanting to work flexibly.

Make sure that you get your application in by midnight on Sunday 21st April. Interviews will be taking place on Monday 29th April.
