Based in Andover, Hampshire with frequent travel across the UK, Isle of Man and the Channel Islands.

Every day, around 300 people are diagnosed with macular disease. It’s the biggest cause of sight loss in the UK. Macular disease is cruel and isolating. It steals your sight, your independence, and your ability to do the things you love. There is only one way to Beat Macular Disease for good. They must fund more research now, until they find a cure, or find treatments that stop it in its tracks.

Our client is working to deliver their ultimate ambition – to Beat Macular Disease for the next generation. They are determined to end the fear and isolation of macular disease with world-class research and the best advice and support.

They are undergoing significant changes, with a transformational new strategy to multiply their income in order to fund research that will find a cure.

As part of their 5 year strategy, they have committed to double the number of people they support through their 1 to 1 and face to face services around the UK, the Isle of Man and the Channel Islands.

As Head of Regions, you will oversee their regional services. These are delivered by a combination of paid staff and dedicated volunteers. They provide support and face to face support either 1 to 1 or face to face and sometimes in group settings. This role will support and manage their regional managers and some office staff and have responsibility for ensuring that their volunteer roles are attractive and that they are efficiently recruited, trained and supported in their roles.
