Data Protection Support Officer
Our client is part of a charitable group of companies that supports people with a learning disability. Their unique leadership and structure includes people with a learning disability. Through this they can demonstrate that people with a learning disability can be leaders in society but they can’t do this without you! They are looking for a Data Protection Support Officer with Business Services responsibilities.
Position: Data Protection Support Officer
Location: Grantham, Lincolnshire
Job type: Full Time, Permanent
Hours: 39 hours per week
Salary: £24,000 per annum
Benefits: 25 days holiday + 8 days bank holiday; Contributory pension; Cycle to work scheme; Employee support line to support you and your family; Support in gaining professional qualifications; Continuous on the job training is provided.
About the role:
Working as part of our clients Facilities Team, your role will be to provide a comprehensive Data Protection and Business service for the Group. The role will be responsible for a wide range of duties including providing support to the Data Protection / Business Services Manager.
The Data Protection Support Officer will provide project management and assist with development of the Data Protection audit processes. The role will manage all Data Protection Queries, resolving insurance claims and providing advice and guidance to our staff.
About you:
- Preferably hold a Data Protection Practitioner Qualification or be willing to obtain the qualification
- Knowledge and understanding of the Data Protection Regulations
- Understanding of Facilities / Business Service Roles
- Project Management Skills
- Excellent organisational skills
- IT competent in a range of software packages
- Confident a natural communicator
- Flexible approach to working, some travel with overnight stays required
