Job Details

A unique opportunity to take an ambitious global public benefit campaign to the next level

The Organisation:

OpenCorporates is the largest open database of companies and company data in the world, with in excess of 160 million companies from over 130 jurisdictions. Our primary goal is to make information on companies more usable and more widely available for public benefit, particularly to tackle the use of companies for criminal or anti-social purposes, for example corruption, money laundering and organised crime. We have led the world in making open company data a norm and are an essential resource for journalists, anti-corruption investigators, law enforcement, and the wider business community. We have also recently run a series of very successful campaigns, at national and EU level, to increase access to company registers..

The Role:

With a successful, sustainable business model, OpenCorporates are now poised for major expansion and are looking for an experienced campaign leader to take this success to the next level- to make open data and Total Corporate Transparency the norm and grow the community of supporters and public benefit users.

As Head of Campaigns and Community you will:

- Run successful campaigns and lobbying operations

- Build an evidence base for the importance and utility of open company data

- Strengthen relationships with governments and key intergovernmental bodies (EC, OECD, FATF, World Bank etc.)

- Bring users and stakeholders together into a coherent force supporting and cheerleading for OpenCorporates and our important mission

The Person:

With significant campaigning and advocacy experience and compelling writing and public speaking skills, our Head of Campaigns and Community will have strong knowledge of political and global justice issues and experience of external representation to politicians and intergovernmental organisations. Ambitious, determined, collaborative and imaginative, you will be joining a team who believe in a better, fairer world- solving issues of corporate opacity in a way that's never been done before.

To Apply:

To apply, please submit your CV via the Prospectus website which can be accessed by clicking on the "Apply" button below. Please upload your CV in Word format and include a supporting statement as part of your application, addressing your experience in relation to the key points on the person specification, which should be no longer than 2 sides of A4.

A Prospectus consultant will review and assess all submitted applications. Applications will be assessed throughout the advertising period and we encourage early applications. As part of the selection process, candidates may be invited to meet with a consultant at our offices.
