Permanent, 37.5 hours p/w

Our client works with people with care and support needs, who are homeless or are at risk of homelessness, to promote independence, health and wellbeing, empowering people to build on their strengths, enhance their lives and access appropriate housing.


The Russell Street service provides accommodation and support to 21 adults (aged between 18 and 64) with learning disabilities and autistic spectrum conditions as well as physical and mental health needs. 16 live in temporary accommodation within the main hostel and 5 live in permanent self-contained flats nearby.


Leading the service, you will ensure people receive effective advice and the highest quality support so that they achieve their aspirations and live as independently as possible.


Managing the team, you will recruit, inspire, motivate and support them to develop their support work practice and ensure they provide an effective supported housing management service including maintenance, rent/service charge payments, arrears and voids management.


They are looking for a Service Manager with strong leadership skills and solid management experience from within a support setting. With an excellent understanding of the issues facing people with learning disabilities as well as knowledge and practical experience of safeguarding procedures, you will be able to hit the ground running. You will be able to identify and manage a variety of risks along with having the resilience to work independently to manage a varied and demanding workload. You will also hold a Level 4 Diploma in Health and Social Care (or equivalent) or hold relevant management experience.


Due to the nature of the role, you must be willing to be part of the Out of hours on-call rota.
