Prospectus is excited to be supporting an international development charity in their search for a Development Manager (Major Donors) to join their successful Major Giving team on a 12 month maternity leave contract.

Reporting to the Head of Major Donors and Trusts, the post-holder will sit within a wider Major Giving Team - responsible for relationships with trusts, foundations, major donors and companies worldwide. The Development Manager (Major Gifts) will be responsible for defining and implementing clear strategies for the identification, cultivation and stewardship of a targeted pipeline of approaches to new and existing donors so as to successfully contribute to the overall funding objectives of the Major Donor team.

The successful candidate will be a great communicator with enthusiasm for connecting with key donors and a passion for enhancing existing, and establishing new donor relationships. The organisation is looking for candidates with a strong track record of developing compelling cases for support and securing significant major gifts from new and existing donors. No background in international development is necessary, however an interest in working in this field is essential.
