We are looking for a Direct Marketing Officer to maintain and improve existing campaigns to retain regular givers, keeping them engaged with Battersea and continuing their support. To explore, research and develop new methods of Regular Giving donor retention, keeping pace with, or ahead of, our competitors in the marketplace. To develop products/offers that will engage a high volume of Regular Givers and test these via a variety of media such as print, telephone, SMS and digital.

We are a leading animal welfare charity and over the last 150 years we’ve grown from one home in London to three rescuing and rehoming centres across the South East. With c500 staff and 1000 volunteers, we have cared for over three million vulnerable animals We also campaign tirelessly to make things better for dogs and cats; sharing our expertise and educating the public and policymakers about responsible pet ownership. Our Fundraising Team

Battersea’s multiple award-winning Fundraising department raises around 60% of the Charity’s total income. Working with colleagues across the organisation, we provide members of the public and organisations with opportunities to engage with Battersea and to support our work. Through continued investment, net fundraising income has risen from just £100,000 in 2010 to £12m in 2017, and we aim to reach a net income of £18m by 2020 to make sure Battersea can be here for every cat and dog now and in the future.

Public Fundraising

Public Fundraising is responsible for generating income from new and existing supporters through direct marketing, challenge events and community fundraising activities.

  • Direct Marketing team

Within Public Fundraising, sits the Direct Marketing team. We recruit and develop supporters through direct marketing activities, including face-to-face fundraising, legacy promotion, direct mail appeals, raffles and DRTV.
