WorldSkills UK are recruiting for a Head of Young People and Careers to lead on and develop the strategic direction for WorldSkills UK’s engagement with young people and their experience and ability to make the best start in work and life - working towards our target of supporting 1 million young people by 2022. Alongside developing new programmes to fulfil this objective, this will involve leading on the organisation’s current educational activities such as WorldSkills UK LIVE, the Skills Champions programme and our online careers resources to power a first-class careers and young people model that engages partners across the UK. 

The successful applicant will have a strong track record of engaging young people in innovative programs and a passion for providing young people with tools to succeed in work and life. A sound knowledge of education and careers policy and the impact of this on young people. They will also need strong relationship management skills to lead on key strategic partnerships and leadership qualities to take ownership of some of WorldSkills UK’s flagship programmes.
