Community Fundraising Officer

Our client is a local charity that supports all carers in Wiltshire and they are looking for a someone to join their fundraising team. Their aim is to create carer friendly communities where carers are recognised, valued and supported.
Position: Community Fundraising Officer
Location: Wiltshire: flexible home / office base, with a minimum 2 days per week at either Semington or Salisbury office
Hours: 37 hours per week Monday to Friday plus occasional weekend/evening working
Benefits: 28 days’ holiday in addition to bank holidays, 5% employer contribution to pension, free annual eye tests.

Our client helps carers access services, information, education and training, respite, and breaks from their caring role. They ensure they have a voice that is heard and work with health and social care professionals and employers to raise carer awareness and develop best practice.
The Community Fundraising Officer will be a member of a dynamic team of committed and passionate individuals working together to raise the profile of carers and support the work of the charity. The main purpose of the Community Fundraising Officer role is to raise funds from local organisations and donors to support projects. This is an outward facing role which will include networking, making funding applications, organising events and fundraising appeals.
You will be an enthusiastic, outgoing and organised person with a passion for helping others. Voluntary sector experience is not essential, but you will have demonstrable experience in a client or public facing role such customer service or sales. You may have experience organising events, volunteering, fundraising or communications.
